Foodservice Region Sales Manager (Foods Manufacturer)

Location: Northern California and Pacific Northwest

Reports to Senior Management.

This is an opportunity for a Foodservice Sales Professional to get noticed and advance his/her career.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute business sales plan for the Region.

Achieve budgeted sales objectives.

Utilize culinary skills and experience at the operator level.

Manage existing customers and business to include Key Operators and Distributors.

Stay abreast of marketplace needs and changes to include competitive activities and report information back to senior management.

Manage assigned promotional and travel budgets.

Prospect for new business.

Introduce and successfully gain distribution with new products and implement supporting programs.

 

Gain compliance of existing National and Regional contracts whereby specs may be “soft”.

 

Build upon and leverage existing relationships.

Develop and execute business plans within assigned territory and customers.

Manage broker network.

Combine one’s fact base sales skills with a working knowledge of culinary and menuable concepts from a sales perspective.

Maintain and report competitive marketplace information and intelligence to include pricing, new product offerings and promotions to senior management.

Ensure the company is well represented at trade and food shows.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of related Foodservice experience and accomplishments.

Some formal Culinary training and or on the job experience an added plus.

Demonstrated leadership skills.

Documented successful sales and sales management track record.

Broker management experience.

Ability to close sales.

Provide existing knowledge of the marketplace.

Posses a current network of relevant operator customers to include Regional Chain and Local Leverage Operator Accounts.

Experience with managing and developing local distributors.

Ability to make a meaningful and successful operator call utilizing menuable concepts and solid closing skills.

Excellent presentation skills.

Solid verbal and written communication skills.

Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to work from one’s own home office.

Travel within the Region.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience.
